It’s Raining, It’s Pouring, The Old (and Young) Man are . . .

RUNNING!

It’s 5:53 a.m. and BT just gave me a Valentine’s gift–a book charm for my charm bracelet–and kissed me goodbye . . . not for the last time, I hope. None of us slept well last night, which is going to make today extra interesting.

BT and Tad are now headed to the start line, despite the fact that it is cold, rainy, windy, and LIGHTNING. Yes, you read that right. It is lightning. I hope the race organizers have enough common sense to delay the start of the race until the lightning subsides.  But I’m afraid common sense is in short supply around here.

Speaking of common sense, BT is questioning the wisdom (or lack there of) of breaking in a brand-new pair of shoes during a 100-mile race.

Sadly, I do not have cell reception at the race site, so I’m going to have to drive back into town every time I need to use my phone or computer.
